Here’s a quick summary of what’s new this month. Please share your feedback on this update.
Build positive parental engagement with Evisense Explorer
We are thrilled to announce the launch of Evisense Explorer. It’s a secure, entry level, social media style communication tool connecting schools and parents. Schools can post class blogs, newsletters, event reminders, and more – all in a safe, private space. Unlike traditional one-way communication, Explorer (built on our trusted Evisense platform) allows parents to comment, respond, and share views. This makes interactions truly two-way, helping strengthen home-school partnerships, boost engagement and improve outcomes!
Evisense Explorer does NOT include storage for photos, videos, audio clips, or documents – but upgrading to Evisense Premium (Bronze, Silver or Gold) unlocks full media upload features whenever you’re ready. You don’t have to upgrade all students to Premium, just those you want to upload photos and videos for.
For schools using our Connecting Steps assessment software, Evisense Explorer is free for licensed pupils, or just £1 per pupil for others.
For schools that have an Evisense subscription (now known as Evisense Premium), it’s free to add Evisense Explorer for any of your Connecting Steps licensed pupils that do not already have a subscription, or just £1 per pupil for others.

What’s new this month?
- See all posts linked to a piece of media – Wondering how a photo/video in the Gallery has been used in Evisense? Identify which posts used a particular piece of media – how to guide
- Zoom into images for a closer look at evidence – Click on any image in a post and use the +/- icons (bottom right) to examine details in greater depth.
- Download longer posts as .pdfs for easier reading and sharing – When text exceeds the post limit, the first 300 characters appear in the preview, and the full content is attached as a downloadable .pdf.
