We want to make sure that you know all about our latest updates. So, here’s a quick summary of what’s new at B Squared this month. Please share your feedback on the new format.
Are you breaking into a cold sweat thinking about end of year reports?
Is it that time of year already? We’d love to help make your reporting easier this year. Did you know that Connecting Steps comes with built-in AI (Artificial Intelligence) to help you save time? With just a click, you can generate report summaries based on your pupils’ assessments – and even translate them into 40 different languages! Using AI to save time report writing is just £1 per pupil per year.
Book an AI demoWe’ve also made lots of improvements in Connecting Steps to make it quick and easy to pull off the reports that you want. Plus there’s a new step-by step guide to create and print a report in Evisense.
What’s new this month?
- Bulk printing of reports and other time savers – Generate reports for all students in a Group at once, delivered by download or email. Comparing reports is easier with the system now remembering report dates. In addition, the new option to use a student’s baseline date as the report start date ensures inclusion of data for those baselined after the school year begins – how to guide
- Get instant insights with the new Attainment Report – View individual or group achievements on a specific date for a clear snapshot of attainment – sample reports
- Next steps reports include multiple levels for deeper insights – Get a more detailed view of where to focus and support each student’s progress – how to guide
- Two-factor authentication provides stronger security for peace of mind – Enhanced protection with two-factor authentication ensures safer access for administrators using MyBSquared – how to guide

- Streamline commenting with “Tag All” option (suggested by John B) – Quickly add comments to all students on a post without needing to tag them individually – how to guide
- Save time by duplicating a post and changing its type – Duplicate an Evidence, Learning Opportunity or Reading Diary post into any other post type and use the content to quickly make a new post – how to guide
- Link assessments faster with assessment point search – Easily locate and link assessments with less effort – how to guide
- Mark achievements in bulk for efficiency – Use the new ‘Yes, mark all as achieved’ option to update assessments instantly after post creation – how to guide
- Improve safeguarding with hidden student names – Option for parent-facing posts to hide student names for privacy – how to guide
